Today, we listened to an insightful lecture from Sezin Dindaroğlu, the wife of my advisor Burak Dindaroğlu, about the concepts of the comfort zone, stretch zone, and panic zone. During this lecture, which covered project and team management, the idea of struggle, and stepping out of the comfort zone, some sparks of my own thoughts emerged. I wanted to pour these ideas into this video.
Here’s a summary of the video:
The main points of the video are as follows:
A discussion about the comfort zone is presented.
Three fundamental zones are introduced: the comfort zone, the stretch zone, and the panic zone.
It’s emphasized that stepping outside the comfort zone encourages growth and development.
It’s highlighted that facing challenges helps you overcome them and integrate them into your comfort zone.
The experience is explained with examples from personal stories.
It’s noted that this was learned in a technology management course and that continuously stepping out of the comfort zone is essential.
It’s stated that after leaving the comfort zone, there’s an adjustment process, which over time transforms into a new comfort zone.
In conclusion, it’s emphasized that consistently facing and overcoming new challenges fosters growth.
