We met with our esteemed Rector, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran, to discuss projects aimed at advancing Izmir and Anatolia. We held discussions and planned future steps for our “Village of the Future” initiative, which will bring producers and consumers together through education, events, unlocking potential, and sales, as well as the IZTECH Social project, which will consolidate all of IYTE’s data, and various other projects. I thank our rector for his support and for the greetings he sent to my grandfather, who is also a producer.
Additionally, a few days later, we met with Dr. Ergün Metin, a faculty member at Manisa Celal Bayar University (CBÜ) and the founder of the “EFENDİ” initiative, which connects farmers directly with buyers. In this meeting, we discussed potential collaborations with the Village of the Future project and explored numerous ideas and efforts to develop rural areas. We express our gratitude to him for agreeing to meet with us.
